Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
Introduction
HS Digital ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.
Information we collect
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies in your browser and records your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived, and clicks on links that lead away from this site. Google processes this on our behalf and IP addresses are shortened before storage.
The site contains no forms, so nothing is collected from you by filling anything in.
Information reaches us directly only when you choose to make contact:
- If you email us, we receive whatever you put in that email.
- If you book a consultation, that booking is handled by Cal.com and you provide your details to them.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by using your browser's own tracking protection.
How we use your information
We use information you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation
- Provide and improve our services
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Data storage and security
We store information securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices, and retain it only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal requirements. Your data may be stored or processed on secure servers outside New Zealand as part of delivering our services.
Third-party services
This site relies on the following third parties:
- Google Analytics: understanding how the site is used
- Netlify: hosting, which keeps standard server logs
- Cal.com: booking consultations, if you choose to book
These services have their own privacy policies, and we recommend reviewing them. Links to our clients' websites lead to sites we do not control.
Your rights
Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent for data processing
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognise returning visits and to work out where traffic came from. They hold a random identifier, not your name or contact details. We set no other cookies, and we do not use them for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
